Our Research & Development Projects
We continuously invest in research to develop ingredients with unique properties that meet the needs of the market. Our R&D projects cover various fields, ranging from innovative formulations to new functional applications of our ingredients.
2010-2012
First R&D program
Kadalys' first R&D program focused on the study of the chemical composition of oily extracts derived from bananas and their evolution according to the stages of maturation, as well as the search for cosmetic active ingredients. This program made it possible to develop the first 2 Kadalys liposoluble active ingredients: Green Banana Lipiwave® and the Lipiwave Yellow Banana Peel®.
2012-2019
Second R&D program
As part of a thesis on the production of extracts enriched with active ingredients from bananas and the measurement of their biological activities, this program focused on the extraction and characterization of lipids, phenols, vitamins, vitamins, amino acids and minerals on all matrices. This program resulted in the development of 2 new PATENTS and a liposoluble active ingredient: Pink Banana Lipiwave®.
2020-2024
Third R&D program
This program is part of a thesis on the health effects of banana bioactive ingredients. We also worked on the regulatory measures to be put in place to offer Lipiwaves.® as food ingredients.
2022 - 2024
Fourth R&D program
This program has made it possible to refine and transpose our eco-extraction processes, characterization and measurement of the biological activity of our extracts.
We have also developed a tailor-made banana flavor that meets the regulatory requirements of the EU and the USA.

Our Collaborations
We collaborate with renowned companies and laboratories that integrate our ingredients into their formulations. These partnerships make it possible to validate the effectiveness of our products and to optimize their integration into cosmetic and food formulations.

KADALYS
Our brand, proof of concept, offers more than 30 references containing Lipiwaves® used in various cosmetic galenics. Sold in Europe, the United States, Canada, Canada, Korea, Japan and China, these products, whose effectiveness has been proven by self-satisfaction tests and clinical studies, address skin lacking hydration, in need of radiance and a lifting and plumping effect.

CLEMENT RUM
In collaboration with Rhum Clément, we have developed natural banana aromas, integrated into exceptional cuvees. This partnership values agricultural co-products while creating spirits with unique aromatic profiles, rooted in the Martinique region.

Scientific Studies & Tests
In order to guarantee the performance and safety of our ingredients, we carry out scientific studies and tests in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo. These in-depth analyses make it possible to:
- Evaluate antioxidant activity (ORAC, CAT tests)
- Measure the moisturizing, soothing and regenerating effects on the skin
- Validate the nutritional benefits for food applications (fiber, mineral and antioxidant intake)
